It’s never too soon for your dog to become a Lucky Pawz dog!
FAQ
How big are kennels?
Kennels vary some in size and type but are all approximately 6’ in length and are 3-4’ wide. Some have solid concrete block between, and some are chain link.
How are dogs grouped and how many dogs are in each group?
Dogs are grouped by temperament so dogs of similar activity level can play together. Often times we have a group of smaller dogs, but size does not always determine a group. Each group has up to 15 dogs at a time.
Is food provided?
Lucky Pawz does provide food for all dogs staying overnight with our boarding services. Dog owners are welcome to bring their own food if they wish but we ask that it is in separate baggies or a resalable container. Lucky Pawz does not provide food for dogs that are here for daycare. If a dog requires lunch while at daycare, please provide that food in a separate container each day. Lunch fees apply. We can not store lunch materials at Lucky Pawz.
What should we bring in for our dog when they stay overnight?
We only need your dog and any medications needed. Lucky Pawz can provide everything else. We can feed our food which is a high-quality chicken and rice dog food. We provide blankets, food, and water bowls. If you wish you can bring in your dogs own bedding, toys, treats, and food. We cannot however guarantee that the toys and bedding won’t be damaged or destroyed. Any items brought in are only in your dog’s kennel but sometimes dogs will be destructive in a boarding situation. We do ask that you do not bring in any food or water bowls.
Does Lucky Pawz offer any grooming or bathing or training?
No, at this time we do not offer any grooming, bathing, or training services.
How do I make a boarding or daycare reservation if I've never been to Lucky Pawz?
Please visit our Getting Started page to set up a new dog account and request a new dog screening appointment. All dogs must pass a screening process and spend 1/2 day of daycare before any overnight boarding stays. There is no charge for the initial screening or first 1/2 day of daycare. This is done to allow your dog to become familiar with our staff and facility and hopefully reduce any anxiety. If you are unable to meet the 1/2 day of daycare requirement due to short notice or being out of our immediate area we may still able to accommodate your dogs boarding needs. We offer a boarding only option with no daycare for dogs that are not able to participate in daycare but are non aggressive towards our staff. Please note we will not accept any pregnant dogs or dogs in heat to board in our facility.
Can I have a special treat for my dog while they board?
We can give any treats or toys to your dog while they are in their kennel overnight. Please keep in mind that they will be unsupervised while in their kennels so consider carefully items that may become a choking hazard. Lucky Pawz does offer dog ice cream treats and fresh kisses treats as add on services to your pets boarding stay.
Does Lucky Pawz allow cats or other animals?
Lucky Pawz only provides services to dogs at this time.
How much does it cost to have my dog come to Lucky Pawz?
Please check out our pricing page for the latest pricing information.
What are the hours I can drop off or pick up my dog?
Please visit our hours page for more information. Boarding dogs are in individual kennels during all hours we are not open to the public. Fresh water is provided in all kennels and in all playgroups. Pickup/drop-off is not allowed during hours we are not open to the public.
Are daycare dogs ever kenneled during the day?
Dogs here at Lucky Pawz for daycare are out in the playgroups all day long. In the event a timeout is needed from the group we can utilize a short nap time in one of our kennels. Often it is more productive to allow dogs to rest/nap on their own terms within our play groups.
Is it too hot or cold for my dog?
All interior spaces at Lucky Pawz are climate controlled. Air conditioning in the warmer months and heat during the cooler months. Each group does have access to our exterior yards during our open hours.
What if I'm late picking my dog up from daycare or boarding?
Our staff works hard to keep your dog safe and have a good time while they are here. Please respect their time by being on time to pick up your dog, arrange for someone else to pick them up, or request overnight care in advance if needed. Late pickup fees apply to dogs not picked up by close and will be kenneled for the night if not picked up within 15 minutes of close. We require a minimum of 2 staff members at any time and are unable to do drop-offs or pick-ups outside our normal hours.
